MOSCOW, February 9 Informing voters about upcoming The presidential elections in the Russian Federation using the door-to-door method will begin on February 17, said Elmira Khaimurzina, a member of the Russian Central Election Commission.
“We have completed the training of PEC members and are entering the home stretch; there is a week left before the start of our big project — informing using the door-to-door approach, which will begin on February 17,” Khaimurzina said at a CEC meeting.
The CEC member noted that a special type of housing has appeared in Russia — apartments, where citizens who do not have permanent registration live.
«When you make your rounds, it seems to me that you need to pay special attention here and tell them about the possibility of using the “mobile voter” mechanism, because, as a rule, these people live in other regions.. We must tell them that they also have the opportunity to vote, despite the fact that they are not in their place of residence,” she noted, addressing representatives of election commissions.
The Federation Council has scheduled presidential elections for March 17, 2024. Voting will last three days: March 15, 16 and 17.
Four candidates registered by the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation are vying for the post of head of state: Leonid Slutsky, Nikolai Kharitonov, Vladislav Davankov and Vladimir Putin.
