Logvinov said that the European Union has ceased to be an important trading partner for Russia
The acting permanent representative of Russia to the EU, Kirill Logvinov, said that the European Union is no longer an important trading partner for the Russian Federation.
He clarified that at the moment trade turnover continues to decline. In particular, according to Eurostat, trade volumes between the European Union and Russia fell significantly last year. The Russian Federation has dropped from fifth to tenth place in the list of leading trading partners of the European Union.
“Now the EU has ceased to be an important trading partner for Russia. The European Union has taken the path of economic war, introducing various sanctions,” Logvinov noted.
According to him, over the 11 months of last year, trade turnover between the Russian Federation and the EU decreased by 66.1% compared to the same period in 2022.
