MOSCOW, February 10 Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated in a telegram the employees and veterans of the Russian Foreign Ministry on Diplomatic Worker's Day and emphasized that in the context of the West's attempts to isolate Russia and undermine the country's security, the department faces particularly important tasks.

Diplomatic Worker's Day is celebrated in Russia on February 10.
«Dear friends! Please accept heartfelt congratulations on the occasion of your professional holiday — Diplomat's Day… In modern geopolitical realities, in the conditions of a hybrid war unleashed against us, attempts by the collective West to achieve the isolation of Russia and undermine it security, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs faces very difficult and responsible tasks,” the telegram says.
The Head of State noted that the priority for the Russian Federation remains the development of cooperation with the CIS, increasing integration through the Eurasian Economic Community, strengthening ties in the CSTO and the Union State. In addition, the high-quality implementation of tasks and responsibilities associated with the Russian Federation's chairmanship in the CIS and in the expanded BRICS requires special attention.
According to Putin, work to unite the Russian world by supporting compatriots abroad and popularizing the Russian language, as well as to counter attempts to falsify history and revise the results of World War II is especially in demand now.
«I am confident that employees of the central apparatus and foreign agencies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue to act with full dedication, creativity and initiative,» the president added.
