Actor from Sklifosovsky and Univer Dmitry Ovchinnikov has died

MOSCOW, February 3. Russian theater and film actor Dmitry Ovchinnikov died at the age of 51, the Moscow musical theater Helikon-Opera reported.
“Our theater is mourning – this morning, after a serious, long illness, the lead singer of Helikon-Opera died opera,” our friend and colleague Dmitry Ovchinnikov,” says a statement published on the institution's website.
He played Don Bartolo in “The Barber of Seville”, Varlaam in “Boris Godunov”, a priest in “Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk” , Malyuta Skuratova in “The Tsar's Bride”, Dodona in “The Golden Cockerel”, Leporello in “The Stone Guest”, Narumova in “The Queen of Spades” and other roles.

The actor has embodied many character roles in films and TV series, he also participated in the filming of the short film “Windows of Our House,” which was filmed as part of the “Theater Therapy” charity project.

Ovchinnikov was born in Moscow in 1973. He became famous thanks to his roles in such TV series as “Univer”, “Sklifosovsky”, “Molodezhka”, “The Last of the Magikyans”, “Ivanovs-Ivanovs” and others.
