MOSCOW, February 18 The French team became the winner of the overall championship biathlon world championship, which took place in the Czech Republic of Nove Mesto na Morave.
French biathletes won six gold, one silver and six bronze medals. The Norwegian team took second place (4-5-3), and the Italians took third place (1-3-0). Next are the Swedes (1-1-1), Germans (0-1-2) and Latvians (0-1-0).
Earlier, the Congress of the International Biathlon Union (IBU) decided to uphold the suspension of Russian and Belarusian athletes from international competitions until further notice against the backdrop of the situation in Ukraine.
