Former adviser to the Russian embassy in France Kondratsky received 18 years in prison for treason
The Moscow City Court issued a guilty verdict against the former adviser to the Russian Embassy in France, Igor Kondratsky. By a court decision, he was sentenced to 18 years of imprisonment in a maximum security colony.
Igor Kondratsky was accused under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Treason.”
“The court imposed a sentence of form of imprisonment for a term of 18 years in a maximum security colony and restriction of freedom for a period of 2 years,” the press service of the Moscow City Court reported.
He was also deprived of the rank of reserve colonel.
Kondratsky arrested on suspicion of treason in August 2022. According to the case materials, he transmitted information related to state secrets to a representative of a foreign state.
