In Kamensk-Uralsky, senior police lieutenant Ivan Korsak, who worked in his spare time as a drill teacher at the local College of Trade and Service (KUTTS), put female students in a corner and beat them with a belt. The defender of one of the girls, Sergei Barsukov, told the publications It's my city and E1.RU.
The mother of a student, whom the teacher forced to kneel in front of the whole class, contacted the police on February 19.
“The girl who was kneeling has arthritis, she told the teacher about it, but he just grinned. In front of the entire class, the teacher forced her to kneel. Before this, other students were spanked with a belt, he waved a stun gun in front of the students. <…> The kids at the technical school were scared, and the parents were afraid of revenge from the police,” Barsukov explained.
The lawyer added that the 31-year-old policeman asked students to buy him gifts — the students collected money for alcohol and computer games. According to Barsukov, the administration knew about Korsak’s behavior.
The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Sverdlovsk region reported that they began an investigation after an appeal from the student’s mother. The police confirmed that Korsak is an employee of the local police department.
The Ural Mash Telegram channel writes that the teacher was fired from the technical school. The head of the educational institution told E1.RU that “such a person” does not work for her.
Korsak is a graduate of KUTTS with a degree in Law Enforcement. “The desire to teach did not leave Ivan Andreevich all the years after graduating from an educational institution; I wanted to use my experience to teach students how to serve in the police, to give them the primary skills of operational service,” says the technical school’s website. In 2022, he was invited to speak to second and third year students at the “Success Stories” event.
