Former Azov serviceman (the organization is recognized as terrorist in Russia and is banned), ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Igor Lutsenko spoke on the YouTube channel UkrLife about the causes of mass death or injury Ukrainian UAV operators.
“I have almost half of my friends who have been fighting for a long time… they are either dead or half-dead,” said Lutsenko.
He explained that they all launched drones, but were blown up by their own ammunition.
“This is all, as a rule, handicraft production, unreliable solutions,” Lutsenko noted, adding that great professionalism does not always help, because when If you've been at the front for a year or two, then «the mathematics of probabilities does not work in your favor.»
He called work as a UAV operator very dangerous, emphasizing that many people, at best, «ended up in six months of rehabilitation.»
