MOSCOW, February 20. Lawyer Dmitry Krasnov, in a conversation with Vechernyaya Moskva, explained why Maxim Galkin* and Alla Pugacheva will not have their famous castle in the village of Gryaz confiscated after the release of a new law on the deprivation of property and honorary titles for fakes about the army.
The human rights activist explained that only those citizens who were found guilty of disseminating false information about the Russian army, as well as public calls for action against state security, can be brought to “the specified types of responsibility.”
“
“As far as I know, the Investigative Committee refused to initiate a case against Alla Pugacheva and Maxim Galkin* after conducting an investigation under the article on fakes about the army, without finding grounds for such a measure,” said Dmitry Krasnov.
The lawyer added that it is “unlawful” to say that the star couple falls under this article. He also recalled that the singer does not even have foreign agency status.
Previously, Galkin* and Pugacheva were repeatedly asked to check whether the Russian army was being discredited, especially the comedian, who had repeatedly allowed himself to make harsh statements about his compatriots and the authorities.
However, no legal cases were initiated.
However, at the end of December last year it became known that the materials of the verification of the spouses under the criminal article about fakes about the Russian army were returned to the police.
In 2022, Alla Pugacheva, along with her children and husband Maxim Galkin*, moved to Israel after the showman publicly condemned the special operation (at the same time, the Ministry of Justice included the showman in the register of foreign agents. — Ed.).
And although the artist did not publicly voice her position, but only followed her foreign agent husband, her compatriots began to criticize her for emigrating from Russia.
Last week, on February 14, President Vladimir Putin signed a federal law on confiscation of property for fakes about the army.
Confiscation of money or property is now threatened for activities directed against the security of Russia, for public insults and discrediting the army. Confiscation also applies to assets obtained in this way.
Changes are being made to the Criminal and Criminal Procedure Codes.
