Twitter called the blocking of Yulia Navalnaya’s page a “mistake” in the platform’s mechanism for protecting against manipulation and spam. A message about this appeared on the social network administration account.
“The anti-manipulation and spam protection mechanism mistakenly flagged @yulia_navalnaya (Yulia Navalnaya’s account — MZ) as violating the platform rules. We unblocked the account as soon as we became aware of the error,” Twitter said.
Today Twitter blocked the page of the widow of politician Alexei Navalny, Yulia, but it was soon restored. Previously, Navalnaya’s account was subject to a search ban; her original tweets were not visible in replays.
Yesterday, the day the page was created, about one hundred thousand people subscribed to it. Now the number of Yulia Navalnaya’s subscribers exceeds 170 thousand. The widow of the oppositionist published her video message on Twitter, in which she promised to continue her husband’s work.
