The Ministry of Sports is ready to participate in the creation of a Russian football simulator

KAZAN, February 22, Adela Ziatdinova. The Russian Ministry of Sports is ready to participate in the project to create a Russian analogue of a football simulator, said Russian Sports Minister Oleg Matytsin.
On Wednesday, ex-Russian national team player Andrei Arshavin turned to Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Future Games with a request to help create a domestic analogue of a football simulator in which it will be possible to play for the national team and more. The athlete noted that the head of Gazprom, Alexey Miller, could help with the implementation of the idea – the state corporation is the general sponsor of Zenit.
“”I am ready, the Ministry of Sports is ready to participate in this project. I think it is important to create a national product. Moreover, the domestic football school has long-standing traditions. We have many interesting athletes who could be creative in creating a digital analogue football in order to attract people to the sport. This may also be useful for those who play classic football. Now we can already see that sports and computer games actually complement each other in development and can help in development,” Matytsin said journalists.
Games of the future are innovative international competitions in hybrid disciplines, in the phygital concept (physical+digital), which combines classical sports and e-sports or VR/AR technology. The first ever Games of the Future are taking place in Kazan from February 21 to March 3.
