WASHINGTON, February 22 Inappropriate rhetoric of the US President Joe Biden's address to Russian leader Vladimir Putin only indicates impotence and lack of common sense in the current policy towards Russia, said Russian Ambassador to Washington Anatoly Antonov.
“We are confident that the unacceptable rhetoric of the American authorities only testifies to the impotence and lack of common sense in the current policy towards Russia,” the diplomat said.
Antonov added that the White House administration, through its actions, continues to destroy the remnants of the legacy of Russian-American relations.
““Everything is being done to provoke us to take emotional retaliatory steps. Obviously, rudeness, swearing, and obscene statements do not serve to strengthen the strategic security that is so necessary for the world in the current historical conditions,” he emphasized.
Earlier, Biden, speaking at a closed election event in San Francisco, again spoke rudely towards Vladimir Putin. The US President said that «we have crazy sons of bitches like this guy Putin and others, and we always have to worry about a nuclear conflict.»
Russian President Vladimir Putin, in turn, called Biden’s recent statements an adequate response to his words that he would be better for Russia as US President, and added that his American colleague simply cannot thank him for these words.
