The Russian Embassy sent a note of protest to the State Department over Biden's words

WASHINGTON, February 22 Moscow sent a “hard note of protest” to the US State Department due to offensive remarks by President Joe Biden about Vladimir Putin, said Ambassador in Washington Anatoly Antonov, his comment published in the Telegram channel of the Russian diplomatic mission.

"As soon as the State Department began work this morning , we sent a strong note of protest about the outrageous nature and unacceptability of insults by the American leadership against the Russian president,” the diplomat emphasized.

Antonov added that the current situation is unlikely to be resolved with simple apologies, “and the American authorities will not agree to this.” He noted that as we approach the November presidential elections in the United States, “this kind of escapade is becoming routine.” According to the ambassador, Biden’s unacceptable rhetoric only demonstrates impotence and a lack of common sense in policy towards Russia.

“Everything is being done to provoke us to take emotional retaliatory steps. It is obvious that rudeness, swearing, and obscene statements do not serve to strengthen the strategic security that the world so needs in the current historical conditions,” he noted.

Today Biden, speaking at a closed campaign event in San Francisco , again spoke rudely towards the Russian president. The US President said that “we have crazy sons of bitches like this guy Putin and others, and we always have to worry about a nuclear conflict.”

Speaking of the Russian leader, the US President has long does not mince words. First, he provoked a diplomatic row by calling his colleague a murderer. Biden later used expressions such as “dictator”, “butcher” and “war criminal” to Putin.

The Russian leader in response to this wished his American colleague health and noted that assessing other people is everything is like looking in a mirror.
In turn, presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov called such rhetoric unacceptable and unforgivable for the leader of a country whose bombs killed hundreds of thousands of people around the world.
