In Moscow, two teenagers were detained in a criminal case due to damaged memorial plaques

In Moscow, two 15-year-old teenagers were detained due to damage to memorial plaques, the Investigative Committee reported.

We are talking about plaques in Lipovy Park in Kommunarka about residents and employees of the local state farm. According to investigators, they were damaged “from February 12 to 13.”

The first photos of the cracked signs were posted in the city public. One subscriber in the comments blamed the injuries on migrants due to the fact that security forces allegedly recently took place in the area. Her version was picked up by the far-right telegram channel “Mnogonational” with 200 thousand subscribers.

Already with reference to them, the propaganda channel “Tsargrad” released news with the headline “In New Moscow, migrants are accused of destroying the Alley of Memory”; He did not provide any additional evidence, except for one initial comment on Instagram.

On the day of publication of “Tsargrad”, the Investigative Committee reported on the initiation of a criminal case. As a result, two teenagers were charged under three articles at once — damage to property (Part 2 of Article 167), hooliganism (Part 2 of Article 213) and vandalism (Part 2 of Article 214 of the Criminal Code).
