MOSCOW, February 26 Russian President Vladimir Putin assessed the economic situation in the Karachay-Cherkess Republic as quite satisfactory, noting a noticeable decrease in unemployment.
«I looked at the materials. In the republic as a whole, the situation is quite, let’s say modestly, satisfactory. The volume of industrial production is growing, agricultural products are being produced in larger volumes. Unemployment is decreasing, it has dropped noticeably — to 5%,» Putin said at a meeting with the head of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic Rashid Temrezov.
The President of the Russian Federation noted that unemployment in the republic is at the level of “two, one and a half times higher than the national average, but still (it — ed.) has decreased by almost half, this is a noticeable point.” .
«Nevertheless, there are also issues that require special attention. So, for some reason — I don’t know, maybe this is not entirely true, you’ll explain now — construction is not growing,» he said head of state.
