NALCHIK, March 3 Neutralization of militants continues in Karabulak in Ingushetia, a source in the regional security forces said.
““The CTO regime in Karabulak continues to operate, active measures are underway to neutralize the militants,” said the agency’s interlocutor.
The day before, the regional operational headquarters reported that from 19:30 Moscow time on Saturday, a counter-terrorist operation regime was introduced in the territory of the city of Karabulak in Ingushetia. The area where it will be held is limited to Rabochaya, Oskanova, Naberezhnaya and Dzhabagieva streets.
According to the NAC, in Ingushetia, during operational search activities, security agencies discovered a group of bandits in one of the residential buildings who were planning to commit high-profile terrorist attacks. When attempting to arrest them, they opened fire on the security forces, and law enforcement officers entered into battle with the terrorists. FSB special forces blocked the militants in an apartment building.
Residents of houses adjacent to the area where the terrorists were detected were evacuated. The situation is controlled by the headquarters of the National Anti-Terrorism Committee.
