MOSCOW, March 2 The Russian government has approved the amount of annual presidential grants for creative teams from new regions, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.
«By decree of the head of state, leading creative groups of the Donetsk and Lugansk people's republics will annually receive presidential grants in the field of culture and art. The government approved the resolution on the amount of such grants,» the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.
Thus, for the Donetsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater, the grant amount will be 95.1 million rubles annually, for the Donetsk State Academic Music and Drama Theater named after M.M. Brovun — 60.7 million rubles, for the Lugansk Academic Russian Drama Theater named after P. Luspekayev — 6.8 million rubles, for the Lugansk Academic Philharmonic — 26.1 million rubles.
As noted by the government, this decision is aimed at preserving and developing the Russian school of performing arts in new regions.
