MOSCOW, March 1The second festival of contemporary Russian cinema «Mayak» will be held this year from October 5 to 10 in Gelendzhik, said Anton Malyshev, executive director of the Kinoprime Foundation and producer of the festival.
“»This year we will do it from October 5 to October 10. This year we will definitely not expand it, this is due to the concept and logistics, among other things,» he said at a conference within the framework of the exhibition-forum «Russia «at VDNKh.
According to him, this year the organizers will be more attentive to the selection of films and they will have more time to work out the issue of distribution certificates with the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
The Mayak Film Festival was held in Gelendzhik in 2023 from October 5 to October 9. 11 films were presented at the screenings in seven categories — «Grand Prix of the Film Festival — Best Film», «Best Director's Work», «Best Screenplay», «Best Cinematographer's Work», «Best Actress», «Best Actor» and » Best debut.»
