MOSCOW, March 3 Internal disputes between Ukraine’s partners on military assistance it will be impossible to forget, Vladimir Zelensky said in his televised address.
In his opinion, the world has “enough air defense systems”, and “Ukraine did not ask for anything more than necessary” to “protect life”.
At the same time, he criticized the delay in the supply of weapons and air defense to Kiev, accusing the allies of “internal political games or disputes” that limit “our defense.”
“This is impossible to understand. It is impossible to agree with this. And It will be impossible to forget — the world will remember this,” Zelensky said.
Congress, due to the position of the Republican majority in the House of Representatives, has not yet supported the administration’s request to allocate another $60 billion for Kyiv. Previously allocated allocations ended in December last year, parts of previously announced military aid packages are coming to Ukraine in fulfillment of previous contracts.
Russia believes that arms supplies to Ukraine interfere with the settlement, directly involve NATO countries in the conflict and are “playing with fire.” As Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov pointed out, the United States and NATO are directly involved in the conflict, including not only by supplying weapons, but also by training personnel in Great Britain, Germany, Italy, and other countries. The Kremlin stated that pumping Ukraine up with weapons from the West does not contribute to negotiations and will have a negative effect.
