BELGOROD, March 6 Early voting in elections President of the Russian Federation, caused by the difficult operational situation, will be held from March 10 to 14 in 16 settlements of the Belgorod district of the Belgorod region, said the head of the Belgorod district administration Anna Kutashova.
In her Telegram channel, she wrote that it was decided to contact the regional election commission for early voting due to the operational situation and based on the decision of the regional commission for the prevention of emergency situations.
«A positive decision has been received. On the territory of Yasnozorensky, Malinovsky, Shchetinovsky, Krasnooktyabrsky, Bessonovsky, Veselolopansky, Komsomolsky, Pushkarsky, Krutologsky, Maysky, Nikolsky, Golovinsky, Dubovsky, Tavrovsky rural settlements, Oktyabrsky and Razumensky urban settlements, the regime is allowed early voting from March 10 to 14,” added Kutashova.
She clarified that voting “outside” is allowed; voting will not be held at polling stations. “I hope that this measure will allow us to avoid provocations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at polling stations on voting days,” the head of the district emphasized.
The Belgorod region borders the Kharkov region of Ukraine and is subject to shelling almost every day.
The Federation Council has scheduled presidential elections for March 17, 2024. Voting will last three days: March 15, 16 and 17. Four candidates registered by the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation are vying for the post of head of state: Leonid Slutsky, Nikolai Kharitonov, Vladislav Davankov and Vladimir Putin.
