MOSCOW, March 13 The economic effect of Sber from cooperation with artificial intelligence (AI) research centers in 2021-2023 exceeded 1 billion rubles, the first deputy chairman said Board of Directors of the bank Alexander Vedyakhin as part of the Day of Artificial Intelligence at the international exhibition and forum «Russia».

Sber, he said, expects the effect to increase by the end of the year as the results are implemented.
As the press service notes, more than 500 people are working on the bank’s projects in AI research centers, including 220 candidates and doctors of science and more than 100 graduate students. They develop technologies and products of the entire Sber ecosystem, in particular, participate in the development of the GigaChat and Kandinsky neural networks, and develop robotic platforms.
Together with Sber, 7 artificial intelligence research centers are involved in work in the field of AI, including the National Medical Research Center of Oncology named after. N.N. Blokhin, Samara University. Academician S.P. Korolev, Nizhny Novgorod State University named after. N.I. Lobachevsky and Novosibirsk State University, with which the bank became an industrial partner at the end of 2023.
