Belgorod came under fire in the morning. The regional governor, Vyacheslav Gladkov, reported one resident dead: a store employee received chest and stomach injuries from glass fragments.
Two more people are in the regional clinical hospital — a driver driving along the road on a manipulator who received a traumatic brain injury, and an employee of an enterprise damaged by the explosion who was wounded in the eye by shrapnel.
According to estimates local authorities, at least 23 apartments in residential buildings were damaged. In addition, one of the shells flew into the school stadium and damaged the running tracks. Two windows in the school building were damaged, Gladkov said.
In other settlements of the Belgorod district of the region, apartments in a residential building, five private houses and two shopping centers were damaged. Eight cars were damaged.
The local telegram channel “Belgorod No. 1” published photographs from the sites of strikes in the city. One of the residents of the regional center made a video showing that the windows in the apartment were broken, and a strong fire was visible on the street. The moment of one of the arrivals was also recorded.
