The FSB reported on the detention of a Muscovite suspected of launching drones near military installations

In Moscow, security forces detained a man suspected of committing high treason (Article 275 of the Criminal Code) for launching drones near military installations. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the press service of the department.

The court sent the detainee to a pre-trial detention center.

According to the security forces, the man “established contact” with representatives of the Ukrainian special services and “ one of the nationalist paramilitary terrorist organizations.” According to the FSB, to undergo “initiation,” he “engaged in propaganda against the air defense system,” and then received the task of confusing Russian air defense systems.

“He assembled and launched unmanned aerial vehicles to create false targets in the immediate vicinity of facilities of the Russian Ministry of Defense,” the department clarified.

In a video published by security forces, the detainee, whose face is not visible, says that he is from the “Freedom of Russia” legion.
