Nissan unveils 2025 GT-R with Nismo components and sky-high interior

The refreshed sports car of the Japanese brand is intended for the home market. It is possible that the new model year will be the last for the current model.

The production of the Japanese sports car Nissan GT-R of the current generation R35 was launched in 2007. This model experienced its first serious restyling in 2016; later, a variety of rumors about a possible successor began to appear in the media, but none of them were officially confirmed by the company. At the beginning of last year, the sports car was updated again, and now the manufacturer has brought the version for the domestic market to the 2025 model year: the two-door has received a number of significant updates.

According to unconfirmed information, the 2025 Nissan GT-R may be the last for the R35 generation. As part of the current update, the sports car in the Premium Edition T-Spec and Track Edition versions was equipped with components that were previously exclusive to the Nismo Special Edition, as the company explained, we are talking about weight-balanced piston rings, connecting rods and crankshafts.

The refreshed cars of these versions received commemorative aluminum plaques with certificates above the engines and golden plates with chassis numbers located in the engine compartment. The 2025 Nissan GT-R is equipped with a 3.8-liter V6 twin-turbo engine, the standard version has an output of 573 hp, and the flagship Nismo has 608 hp.
