MOSCOW, March 15. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has threatened to occupy Brussels to protect his country's sovereignty. He stated this while speaking at a gala event dedicated to the next anniversary of the Hungarian Revolution of 1848.
«If we want to preserve Hungary's freedom and sovereignty, we have no choice but to occupy Brussels,» he said, referring to the need to take a more assertive position in European bodies.
Orban added that for Hungary, freedom is when there is no master over your head. In addition, he emphasized the importance of preserving the country's cultural and historical heritage from external influence.
In his opinion, Budapest will only benefit from peace, adding that Hungary does not want war.
Earlier, Orban said that the EU strategy on Ukraine failed not only on the battlefield, where “the situation is catastrophic,” but also in politics, Brussels almost got involved in the conflict.
