Bryansk security forces detained a Krasnodar resident suspected of preparing terrorist attacks near energy companies and social institutions

The FSB reported on the detention of a resident of the Krasnodar Territory, born in 2002, who is suspected of preparing for a terrorist attack in Bryansk (Part 1 of Article 30; Part 1 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code) and illegal possession of explosives (Part 1 of Article 222.1 of the Criminal Code). RIA Novosti reports this with reference to the department's press service.

As the FSB clarified, the young man was detained in Bryansk. Security officials claim that one of the members of the “Freedom of Russia” legion was “preparing terrorist attacks in Bryansk in order to destabilize the socio-political situation on the eve of the presidential elections in the Russian Federation.”

According to the department, while carrying out the task of the “curator,” the man took explosive devices from a cache in the Kaluga region and planted them near “entrances to administrative buildings of energy companies and social infrastructure.”

On camera, the detainee said that the curator, which he had signed as “Uncle Andrey”, first sent him to Belgorod to carry out “some task,” but it was canceled, so he was told to go to Bryansk.

“We were sent from Bryansk to Kirovo — at the entrance we had to pick up two packages, one package, but it contained two buckets of soil. <…> They, as I understood, contained explosives. I collected them. Initially, this is a sealed jar, it contains a telephone, a power bank and wires, which all need to be connected, set the exact date, time and set the alarm. But in order for the explosive to go off, you need to set a signal in this alarm clock,” said the young man.

In addition, in the video of the security forces, the Krasnodar resident clarified that two bombs were planted in Bryansk. When they did not detonate, the young man was asked to photograph the places where the explosions were planned. Then the man was sent to pick up another package of explosives in Dyatkovo in the Bryansk region, he said on camera.

Two days ago, sources from RBC and Bryansk News reported the detention of a 21-year-old man who brought explosives to two administrative buildings in Bryansk. We are talking about the offices of Bryanskmezhregiongaz and BryanskEnergo. According to Baza, the detainee’s name is Vladislav Sosedov, he was going to join the ranks of the Russian Volunteer Corps.
