RIA Novosti reports that in the DPR The 81-year-old former mayor of the French city of Marsan Emery Francis Andre Philippe de Montesquiou-Fezansac d'Artagnan came as an observer. The publication says that he comes from a noble family, to which the prototype of the hero Alexandre Dumas Sr. belonged.
D'Artagnan said that the elections in the DPR were organized as well as in France, and that he had not noticed any irregularities or received any complaints.
