MOSCOW, March 15 On the first day of voting in the presidential elections in the Russian Federation, a severe cyber attack was recorded on the video surveillance system at polling stations in the Tyumen region, the chairman said Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation Ella Pamfilova.
Voting in the Russian presidential elections started on March 15.

«If you mean cyber attacks, today there was the strongest cyber attack in general, for example, on a video surveillance system in the Tyumen region — external, very professional, this already at the level of special services, these are not anarchist hackers,” Pamfilova said, answering questions from participants in the International Conference “Electoral Sovereignty and International Standards.”
She noted that the Russian system copes with threats.
«We have the strongest specialists, I am sure that we will protect (the system),» she added.

The Federation Council has scheduled presidential elections for March 17, 2024. Voting will last three days: March 15, 16 and 17.
Four candidates registered by the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation are vying for the post of head of state: Leonid Slutsky, Nikolai Kharitonov, Vladislav Davankov and Vladimir Putin.
