MOSCOW, March 14 Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed condolences on the death of ballerina Natalia Kasatkina, noting that she was a real star, an outstanding choreographer and a person passionate about his favorite work, who preserved the great traditions of Russian ballet; the corresponding telegram was published on the Kremlin website.
People's Artist of the RSFSR, artistic director of the Moscow Classical Ballet Theater Kasatkina died at the age of 90 late Wednesday evening.
«Natalia Kasatkina was a real star, an outstanding choreographer, teacher and mentor. A bright, passionate person who loved what she loved. A busy professional path, her whole life was connected with strong, unbreakable ties to creativity, preservation and development of the great traditions of Russian ballet,» — the message says.
Putin noted that the good memory of Kasatkina will forever remain in the hearts of her loved ones and colleagues, as well as all connoisseurs of high art.
