MOSCOW, March 15 There are no risks of a shortage of test strips for glucometers in Russia, the share of domestic test strips in government procurement is growing, the press service of Roszdravnadzor reported.
Earlier, the Izvestia newspaper reported that sales of foreign-made test strips in Russian pharmacies have fallen, this is due to a reduction in supplies of test strips by the Swiss company Roche.
“There are no risks of defects in test strips for glucometers in the Russian Federation,” the message says.
60 types of test strips for glucometers are registered in Russia, 10 of which are domestically produced, the department specified. According to data on government contracts, in 2023, 2,916 government contracts were concluded for the supply of more than 515 million test strips, of which more than 295 million were domestically produced, and in 2024, 621 government contracts were concluded for the supply of more than 76 million test strips, of which more than 58 million of domestic production, noted in Roszdravnadzor.
«Thus, the share of domestic test strips in purchases is growing,» the press service emphasized.
