The Ministry of Justice added economist Igor Lipsits and director Roman Liberov to the register of “foreign agents”.

The updated list of the department also includes journalist Marianna Belenkaya, independent city deputy from Novosibirsk Svetlana Kaverzina, retired police major from the city of Rybinsk Oleg Kashintsev, actor Semyon Treskunov and co-founder of the Vladimir publication “Dovod” Kirill Ishutin.

According to the Ministry of Justice, Kaverzina, Kashintsev, Liberov and Treskunov opposed the “special military operation.” Ishutin, according to the department, protested against the Russian authorities while living abroad, Lipsits called for sanctions, and Belenkaya distributed materials from other “foreign agents.”

In addition, the Ministry of Justice excluded the blogger from the register of “foreign agents.” Nikolai Sobolev and former editor-in-chief of Oryol News Denis Konstantinov. The department's statement said that they “lost the signs of a foreign agent.”

In January 2023, a court in Moscow sentenced former police officer Oleg Kashintsev in absentia to eight years in prison because of anti-war posts on Instagram and Telegram. He retired from the Ministry of Internal Affairs in 2019 after 18 years of service and actively participated in rallies in support of opposition leader Alexei Navalny. At the beginning of 2022, Kashintsev left Russia.
