The number of people killed as a result of a Russian missile attack on Odessa has reached 20 people. This was reported by the State Service of Ukraine for Emergency Situations (DSNS).
Prosecutor General of Ukraine Andrey Kostin also spoke about 73 victims. The authorities of Odessa declared March 16 a day of mourning.
According to the Defense Forces of southern Ukraine, the city was attacked by Iskander-M ballistic missiles from the territory of Crimea. The first strike occurred at 11:00 (UTC +2). One of the places was struck again while doctors and rescuers were working there. As a result, one paramedic and one Emergency Service employee were killed. Seven more rescuers were injured, the head of the Odessa region Oleg Kiper noted earlier.
