Turnout in Russian presidential elections exceeded 55 percent

MOSCOW, March 16 Turnout in the presidential elections Russia on the second day of voting by 20:19 Moscow time was 55.1 percent, according to the CEC website.

The Federation Council scheduled the presidential elections for March 17, 2024. Voting takes place over three days: March 15, 16 and 17.
The first polling stations opened in Kamchatka and Chukotka on Thursday at 23:00 Moscow time. At 9:00 on Friday, voting points opened in the westernmost region of Russia – the Kaliningrad region. In turn, almost 2.6 million Russians managed to cast their votes ahead of schedule.
Four candidates are vying for the post of head of state: Leonid Slutsky, Nikolai Kharitonov, Vladislav Davankov and Vladimir Putin.
