The court did not arrest a Moscow pensioner for setting fire to a voting booth

The Lyublinsky District Court of Moscow refused to send local resident T. Petrukhina under house arrest in the case of obstruction of elections (clause “c” of Part 2 of Article 141 of the Criminal Code). This is stated in the decision published on the court’s website – Mediazona drew attention to it.

As noted in the document, Petrukhina is a pensioner, has never been brought to criminal responsibility and suffers from cancer, she also fully admitted guilt and intends to help solve the crime.

At the same time, the decision does not specify why exactly a criminal case was opened against the woman, however, it is probably about the arson of a voting booth: this happened in Lyublinsky area.
