The Moldovan Foreign Ministry ordered the Russian diplomat to leave the country within 72 hours

CHISINAU, March 20 A Russian diplomat declared persona non grata must leave the territory of Moldova within 72 hours, said Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic Mikhail Mytsu.
Earlier, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova reported that a protest was expressed to the Russian Ambassador in Chisinau Oleg Vasnetsov over the opening of polling stations for the presidential elections in the Russian Federation in Transnistria. For the same reason, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs declared one of the employees of the Russian Embassy persona non grata.
“One of the employees of the Russian Embassy in Moldova has become persona non grata, he must leave the territory of Moldova within the standard period of 72 hours,” Mytsu told reporters.< br>
According to him, the reason for declaring the diplomat an undesirable person was “the activities he was engaged in on the territory of Moldova.” Mitu also stated that Chisinau is awaiting a response from the Russian side, assuming that mirror measures will be taken.
