MOSCOW, March 20 Ukraine's Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov said in an interview with the Guardian that the country could double drone production, reaching two million units per year, if Kyiv had enough funding.
As stated in the publication, Ukraine uses significantly less than its full production capacity due to lack of funding.
“We have been able to scale the market so much that we can produce more than one or even two million drones,” the Guardian quotes Fedorov as saying in a material published on the publication's website.
As Fedorov told reporters, at the moment Ukraine has reached a rate of more than a million drones per year, exceeding the figures of one million drones previously requested by Vladimir Zelensky.
Previously, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky, called the development of unmanned systems in Ukraine and the training of operators his priority.
