ST. PETERSBURG, March 21. One person was killed and four were injured when a foreign car collided with a bus transporting construction workers in the Leningrad region, the press service of the GUMVD for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region reported.
The accident occurred on Thursday morning on the 255th kilometer of the Pskov-Gdov-Slantsy-Kingisepp-Kropolye highway.
«At the scene of the incident it was established that the 63-year-old driver of a Hyundai Santa Fe on the left curve of the road lost control and drove into oncoming traffic, where he collided with a PAZ-4234 bus driven by a 48-year-old driver transporting construction workers organization. The driver of the foreign car died at the scene of the incident from his injuries,” the statement says.
It is noted that one of the bus passengers, a 47-year-old man, was hospitalized by the ambulance team, three more passengers, 32, 25 and 19 years old, independently sought medical help at the regional hospital.
