MOSCOW, March 20Russia has the potential to develop its own equipment and software, says Ekaterina Larina, director of the department for the development of mass communications and international cooperation of the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation.
“We certainly have the potential to develop our own software, develop equipment,” Larina said at the unified demo day of the industrial competence centers (ICC) “Broadcasting” and “Publishing and Printing”, which takes place at site of the International Exhibition and Forum «Russia».
According to Larina, there is a problem with launching mass production of its equipment and software.
«This is due to the fact that the obviously limited demand market for this equipment and this software will not allow manufacturers to maintain or effectively reduce the price,» she added.
According to Larina, this task is for everyone involved in the development of government decisions to support import substitution.
The international exhibition and forum «Russia» takes place on the territory of VDNH in Moscow from November 4 to July 8.
