NALCHIK, March 21 Police investigators in Ingushetia have opened a criminal case against an entrepreneur who is suspected of stealing almost 1.9 million rubles while repairing artificial pulmonary ventilation (ALV), reported the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to the investigation, the general director of one of the LLCs entered into a government contract with a state budgetary institution for the repair and maintenance of 38 ventilators for a total amount of over 3 million rubles.
«Having repaired only 16 products, the entrepreneur reported on the complete completion of the work and received payment. Thus, he stole almost 1.9 million rubles,» the message says.
A criminal case has been initiated against the businessman under the article “Fraud on an especially large scale” of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, the sanction of which provides for up to ten years in prison.
The suspect, as noted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, was chosen as a preventive measure in the form of a recognizance not to leave.
