New trains appeared on the Zamoskvoretskaya line
At the beginning of last week, the first train of the new series “Moscow-2024” was launched on the route of the Zamoskvoretskaya metro line. This was truly a long-awaited event for Green Line passengers. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin took part in the launch ceremony.
“These are comfortable trains that make it possible to carry a larger number of passengers in the carriages. They are comfortable and ergonomic for metro drivers and, of course, for passengers. So I congratulate Muscovites on the release of the new train. Thanks to the mechanical engineers who worked actively on it, to the drivers who also participated in the creation of the new train, running it in, and were promptly trained to operate the new trains. Thank you everyone,” – said Sergei Sobyanin.
And indeed, before the first passengers entered the Moscow-2024 train, specialists from the Metrovagonmash plant (part of Transmashholding) a lot of work was done in a relatively short time.
In essence, «Moscow-2024» – This is a modified version of the Moscow-2020 model, which is already successfully running on both ring lines and the Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya metro line. But there are differences. The first thing passengers will notice is – a more dynamic view of the frontal mask. This visual effect was achieved by emphasizing the corners of the pillars with Mosmetro’s signature color and integrating light block headlights into them. The mask itself has become more rectangular, with an increased angle of inclination, which has improved aerodynamics. 
If we talk about the noise level in the cabin, which is what Zamoskvoretskaya passengers mainly complained about, then in the Moscow-2024 model there is no noise level. it is significantly lower than in “licensed” ones. carriages that are still running along the line. On the new trains you can communicate calmly, without turning the volume of your headphones to maximum, and it will also be comfortable to simply relax after a tiring day. Moreover, the color scheme of the train’s interior is conducive to this. The interior design is made in soothing colors in eco-style. By the way, passengers chose it themselves at the Manege Station exhibition. during last year's urban forum.
“The new metro trains have certainly become more advanced. They are pleasant to be in: climate control, phone chargers, through passages, convenient signs and touch maps, all this makes the trip comfortable. In addition, the metro – This is the transport that allows you to accurately calculate the travel time. We see how more and more motorists prefer public transport to personal transport,” – shared the chairman of the public association «Union of Passengers» Kirill Yankov.
And it is not surprising, returning to the new train, it is worth noting once again that the safety, comfort and convenience of «Moscow-2024» special attention was paid. Due to the ergonomic arrangement of the seats, the distance in the aisle between them has increased by 10%. Compared to Moscow 2020 the new train can carry 17 more people. USB connectors have been moved from the seats to the handrail design to make it convenient for passengers to use chargers while sitting or standing. The shape and location of the light elements have changed.
“Each new generation of metro trains is equipped with a large amount of additional equipment. This in turn requires additional power supply. By train «Moscow-2024» We managed to maintain energy efficiency at the Moscow-2020 level. With the further development of the transport line of the Transmashholding metro station, will also increase energy efficiency indicators. First of all, due to the efficient use of recovered (generated by the train) electricity,” – commented the General Director of the company «TMH City Transport» Daria Marku.
In addition, the doors of the new Moscow-2024 trains 32% wider than in “numbered” ones trains that will gradually leave the Zamoskvoretskaya line. Ramps were installed in the head cars for comfortable movement of passengers with limited mobility. The width of the seats was increased, and more practical material was used for the upholstery of the seats so that they remained clean for as long as possible. 
But this is only if passengers treat everything with care. After all, despite all the joy on the occasion of the launch of the new train, there was an unpleasant incident. On the launch day of Moscow-2024 A group of teenagers scrawled swear words on the walls and seats of the train, and also poured glue on the chargers and entrance doors of the train. To date, according to law enforcement agencies, the teenagers have been detained and will be punished.
There are plans to renew the green line fleet by 100% in the next three years, putting another 448 new Moscow-2024 cars on the rails. and another 248 cars of the promising Moscow-2026 train.
“It must be said that over the past 10 years, the rolling stock of the capital’s metro has been updated by 74%. The current pace of development of Moscow public transport is ahead of many capitals of the world. And this is despite all the difficulties associated with sanctions policy, closure of markets, lack of necessary components, etc. We managed to rebuild. The Russian engineering industry is competitive and makes products that are not inferior to European and Asian markets,” – commented Doctor of Technological Sciences, Honorary Professor of MIIT Leonid Baranov.
Today, Zamoskvoretskaya metro line – one of the most popular. About 900 thousand people use it every day. Of the 24 stations – 16 are transfer routes. Thanks to the introduction of new trains, the number of passenger seats on the line will increase by almost 200 thousand, which will make travel more comfortable.
