In Moscow, officers of the FSB, the Russian Guard and the SOBR detained seven people, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the FSB public relations center.
According to the FSB, the detainees communicated with representatives of the Russian Volunteer Corps (RDK) and “discussed ways of carrying out violent actions against representatives of law enforcement agencies, military personnel and foreigners.”
The intelligence service adds that it seized a machete, a tactical ax, eight knives, an aerosol pistol and pepper spray and flags with “Nazi symbols.” The FSB notes that it is going to open a criminal case against the detainees.
Since March 12, the Russian Ministry of Defense has been reporting on the suppression of “attacks by Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups” that intend to break into the Kursk and Belgorod regions. The “Russian Volunteer Corps,” which includes immigrants from Russia fighting on the side of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, has also been reporting attempts to break through the Russian border since March 12.
