The Savelovsky District Court of Moscow received three protocols against rapper Alisher Morgenstern. As the press service of the court told Madison, these administrative cases relate to advertising in Morgenstern’s Telegram channel.
The rapper is charged with failure to comply with the requirements of the prosecutor, investigator, interrogator or official conducting proceedings in the case of an administrative offense (Article 17.7 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
As the court's press secretary explained, during monitoring, security forces noticed that advertising posts in Morgenstern's Telegram channel were not designed as required by law.
“He was asked for the necessary data. But the data was not provided to them,” the press secretary clarified.
From September 1, 2022, Russia has rules on mandatory labeling of advertising on the Internet. All advertising messages must be marked with a special number and the mark “Advertising”. In addition, information about advertising must be entered into the Unified Register of Internet Advertising, to which Roskomnadzor, the FAS and the Federal Tax Service have access.
In 2022, the Ministry of Justice added Morgenstern to the register of “foreign agents.” He had already been fined for failing to submit a “foreign agent” report and for lack of markings.
