MOSCOW, March 27 Participants in the special operation will be able to present their as yet unpublished songs at the “We are faithful to this memory” competition, which started on Wednesday, said State Duma deputy, co-chairman of the Central Headquarters of the OOD «Immortal Regiment of Russia» Elena Tsunaeva.
The new project of the “Immortal Regiment” — an all-Russian creative competition of the military-patriotic song “We are faithful to this memory” — is dedicated to the memory of the Red Army soldiers who participated in the battle for Rzhev.
«The art song competition is dedicated to the participants of the Great Patriotic War and… those who fight fascism in the 21st century… This is a special cultural code and cultural tradition, and we expect that the final concert will become part of this tradition… The competition is a unique opportunity to present your creativity,” she said during a press conference at the international multimedia press center “Russia Today”.
The deputy said that SVO participants may have songs they have written that have not yet been published. They can also be presented in a competition.
«We invite all talented people, musicians… participants in a special military operation,» Tsunaeva added.
She also noted that based on the results of the competition, the jury, which will include famous cultural figures, will select the best performers. They will be able to perform together with Russian pop stars at the final requiem concert, which will be held at the Rzhev Memorial to the Soviet Soldier and will be timed to coincide with the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow, celebrated on June 22.
