MOSCOW, March 29 Gazprom Neft believes that the current oil refining capacity is sufficient to supply the Russian domestic market with fuel, but is not yet considering the opportunity to build new factories, in particular in the east of the country, said the head of the company, Alexander Dyukov.
“We believe that the existing capacities are sufficient to provide the domestic market with supplies of diesel fuel and gasoline,” he told reporters, noting that the company has increased the production of petroleum products at its refineries.
Answering the question whether Gazprom Neft is considering increasing refining capacity in the east, including at the Omsk Refinery, Dyukov said that at this plant, after the completion of a large-scale modernization program, the refining depth is actually 100%. “We squeeze out the maximum possible volume of gasoline, diesel fuel, and other petroleum products from oil there,” he added.
«Theoretically, it is possible to build another plant. But we are not considering such a possibility,» concluded Dyukov.
