German Vice Chancellor: there is no point in hoping for a quick end to the conflict in Ukraine
There is no point in hoping for a quick end to the conflict in Ukraine, nor for a “good end,” said the Vice-Chancellor, Minister for economic affairs of Germany Robert Habeck in a video message published on the social network X. He is quoted by RIA Novosti.
According to him, his opinion on this matter is “honest and bitter.”
“Probably , there will not be a quick good end, even if we want otherwise,” Habeck said. At the same time, he once again spoke out against the idea of “freezing” the conflict, noting that only the Kiev regime should make such decisions.
The Vice-Chancellor also said that the Russian economy “has completely switched to a war footing,” and the armament of its army is growing rapidly. Habeck also said that Europe, including Germany, must prepare for a possible security threat.
Habeck called for continued military support for the Kiev regime, while expressing an understanding that people are afraid of escalation.
“I’m worried too,” he said.
