Scientists: dogs are able to remember the names of objects

Dogs are able to understand what words people use to designate objects. This was reported in the results of research at Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest, published in the journal Current Biology.
As Reuters writes, the subjects of the study were 18 four-legged human friends. By studying the brain waves of dogs, scientists found that animals distinguish not only commands like “come to me” and “fetch”, but can also activate the memory of an object upon hearing its name.
