MOSCOW, March 28 In the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation The results of the participation of the military electorate in the presidential elections of the Russian Federation have been summed up, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported on Thursday.
«In the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the results of the participation of the military electorate in the presidential elections of the Russian Federation have been summed up. The elections were held in an organized manner and in full compliance with the legislation of the Russian Federation. More than 1.5 million military personnel and civilian personnel of the Russian Ministry of Defense took part in the voting,» — the ministry said.
It was noted that the turnout of personnel was a record and amounted to 99.8%. Centralized voting of the military electorate was held at 321 polling stations.
As the ministry clarified, the most important feature of the past election campaign was the participation in voting of military personnel performing tasks in the zone of a special military operation, including in combat formations and areas of restoration of combat capability. For these purposes, early voting for military personnel was organized at 186 polling stations from February 25 to March 14.
«99.27% voted for the candidate for the post of President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin. At polling stations established on the territories of military units in hard-to-reach and remote areas, on ships on cruise, as well as at military bases outside the territory of the Russian Federation 98.78% voted for Vladimir Putin, including taking into account voting in the zone of the special military operation,” the Ministry of Defense clarified.
It was also reported that the results of voting at all polling stations showed the military electorate the highest civic responsibility and absolute support for the decisions of the country's highest military-political leadership.
