MOSCOW, March 29 International Committee of the Federation Council in Monday will consider an appeal to the UN, the parliaments of countries in connection with attempts by the West to interfere in the presidential elections of the Russian Federation, the meeting agenda says.
“»On the draft appeal of the Federation Council to the United Nations, international parliamentary organizations and parliaments of foreign countries in connection with attempts interference of external forces coordinated by Washington in the preparation and conduct of presidential elections in the Russian Federation,” the agenda says.
The presidential elections in Russia took place from March 15 to 17. Vladimir Putin received 87.28% of the votes, Nikolai Kharitonov — 4.31%, Vladislav Davankov — 3.85%, Leonid Slutsky — 3.20%. The turnout was 77.44% — this is a record high figure in the modern history of Russia.
