There are now two terrorists in a residential building on Akhmed Sultan Street in Kaspiysk. They are blocked, and the house itself is cordoned off. RIA Novosti reports this with reference to a source in the republic's law enforcement agencies.
Early on Saturday morning, a counter-terrorist operation regime was introduced in Makhachkala and Kaspiysk. According to the National Anti-Terrorism Committee, armed persons involved in terrorist activities are being detained.
The committee added that in the areas where the CTO was being carried out, residents of adjacent houses were evacuated. The coordination of the activities of law enforcement forces is ensured by the operational headquarters of the NAC.
