In St. Petersburg, a 10-year-old girl was admitted to intensive care after allegedly being beaten by her mother. Doctors assess the child's condition as serious. Fontanka reported this on Tuesday, April 2.
According to the publication, a woman brought her 10-year-old daughter to the clinic in the morning because the girl complained of abdominal pain. The doctor who examined the child decided that in this case more specialized help would be needed. The doctor called an ambulance and reported everything to the police.
The child was taken to the hospital. Doctors allegedly diagnosed a closed abdominal injury, multiple hematomas on the abdomen, limbs, buttocks and feet. The girl needed surgery.
The mother, in a conversation with law enforcement officers, said that she had recently arrived from Saratov, lived with a man and was raising two children. One of them, a 10-year-old girl, recently “offended”, for which she “received a belt” from her mother.
The doctors who examined the child believe that the injuries could have been received at different periods of time and had different origins .
